Conclusion and bright outlook:
A large network of countless small, self-sufficient villages without hierarchy and any monetary constraints would have the best chance of survival in the currently accelerating catastrophy.
And by the way, setting up such a network worldwide would also cost the least of all future scenarios.
(Apart from the loss of billions in profits for a handful of profiteers.)

The ever-growing number of individuals on a restricted place means fewer opportunities to retreat which induces increasing stress. Antisocial individuals have a short-term survival advantage in such an environment. These defective individuals therefore multiply and literally kill off each other and anyone in reach fairly quickly.
