🧵 #Studiolink in der #Veranstaltungstechnik scheitert zunächst daran, dass es #SIP verwendet, was aber #Vodafone über sein Mobilfunk-Internet sperrt.

Das wiederum bedeutet, dass ich #Speedify als #VPN nutzen muss, was wiederum bedeutet, das es nicht mit dem Laptop des Mitbewerbers geht.

Das ist nämlich im Jahr 2026 so, dass man nicht in jeder Venue einen Internet-Zugang erwarten kann.

Ob es allerdings so stabil wie das unliebsame #AiSlop #Zoom laufen wird? Ich weiß noch nicht, ob wir uns das trauen, das mit Studiolink.

Die Tonqualität ist freilich die zweitbeste hinter #Sonobus, was ohne spezielle Einstellungen in den Routern nicht funktioniert, also zusammengefasst: In der Praxis gar nicht funktioniert in der Veranstaltungstechnik, da in der Regel kein Zugang zum Router.

… ein erster Langzeit-Test läuft.

If the #Rivian also had #Speedify, so the in-built AT&T connection could be bonded with my phone’s T-Mobile connection for enhanced coverage and reliability, that (and #Sonos) would completely remove any thought that CarPlay would be necessary. (In my old truck, I used CarPlay and Speedify to bond the connections for navigation and stream, which was very useful when driving around #NewMexico.)
