Pretty sure #SpeedClimbing at the #Olympics is fake. The athletes get hoist up by a rope and they just tap their hands on the wall to make it look like they're climbing...

Another impression from the European cup in Liébana last weekend - my first competition of the 2023 season.
As I already mentioned, it was really hard to stay focused and do clean runs due to the bad circumstances. However, I still managed to keep my head together and made it to the 7th place, which is my best result in a European Cup yet!

European cup in Liébana was cold, wet and slippery.
The most dominant problem was the wall, which, due to low friction, lead to many athletes (including me) having a hard time getting up there without slipping. Everyone had to climb with a tightened handbrake to avoid mistakes.
Although I had hoped for better times initially, I'm really happy with my performance now, considering the circumstances. I was able to keep my head together, do many clean runs, and even improve my PB!
