People who are going to #emf2026 and enjoy making #hexpansion and/or synths - I seem to be coordinating a collective effort to make a #eurorack compatible modular synth in #hexpansion form.

If that sounds like the kind of thing you might enjoy being part of, please let me know.

[New album] Quern. Mechanical Techno studio recordings.

Quern is a collection of tracks recorded with the Mechanical Techno setup during my PhD research. Twelve tracks of wonky techno, machine funk, suboptimal beats and rough cut rehearsal edits. It's out on cassette and download via Brooklyn based label Jollies. The cover is a record sleeve cutup collage. More info in the press release below. Stream/buy from bandcamp here: …

Wish I had more pictures from this gig, but it's hard to take any when you're also pushing all the buttons…

Oh yay! An hour of jet lag and it’s still cold and grey
Any time that I get to work with young people making art, I am always thrilled by their inventiveness and care. In general, being an artist is tiring, very poorly paid work, but sometimes it is also marvellous and a privilege.

Here's a few of the kites in shop windows around the local area – I've worked with the local business association to use 20 shop windows as a gallery for the young people's work

105 Spring-themed kite designs ready for display around the local community. Now I just need to go distribute them…
