It's been a while since I last posted here 😅
In case you are wondering what I've been doing:
As always I spent a lot of time in the climbing gym and on various speedclimbing competitions (in Poland, Italy, Germany and Austria) 🔥🚀
In addition to that, I've been working a lot on the speedclimbing stopwatch V2 which is now almost complete and will hopefully be released in the next few weeks ⌚
Just tried out #lvgl on an #esp32 and I have to say, it's by far the best graphics framework I have ever used on a microcontroller!
My current usecase is pretty basic but lvgl can do a lot more.
Started using #protobuf in a new project of mine, and I have to say, it's an amazing Tool!
New Laptop -> new custom sticker 🚀
Just configured my #keycloak to use a x509 client SSL certificate for authentication. Never entering a password again

Finally got around to create my new Website 🥳
It's built from scratch using only #tailwind and #sveltekit and hosted on #cloudflare ! It's the first site I completely designed and built myself and I'm really happy with the result, even though, it's not full complete yet.

The competition itself didn't exactly go how I wanted it to. I pushed too much, only finished one run and fell on the two others. Why two others, doesn't that make three runs? Yes! The EGA were used to try out the new olympic format which has three qualificarion runs.

However, it was still an amazing experience and I really enjoyed the time over there! 🔥

The European games in Krakow were unlike every other competition I have ever competed in!
The biggest difference to normal competitions was the Athletes' village: all the 2000 athletes, competing in 28 disciplines, lived together in a couple of buildings right next to each other!
The next big difference was the opening ceremony: It was huge! All of us walked into the completely filled stadium one nation after the other. It was a great experience which cannot be explained in words.

Another impression from the European cup in Liébana last weekend - my first competition of the 2023 season.
As I already mentioned, it was really hard to stay focused and do clean runs due to the bad circumstances. However, I still managed to keep my head together and made it to the 7th place, which is my best result in a European Cup yet!

Let's back this up with some data!
I calculated how close every athlete came to their pb and took the average over all male finalists:
In Liébana, that resulted in a value of 1.030 seconds. That is worse than every single competition in all of 2022 and 2021! As a comparison: in Tarnów (1.5 months ago), that value was -0.100 seconds (the average athlete improoved their pb by 0.100s)!
That data shows, that Liébana was objectively the hardest european cup in the last two years!
