Climate Jenny 2.1@NatureMC Ah, an oil beetle! I used to see these near where the ground-nesting bees had been, which turns out to be because they are parasitic on the bee larvae. I haven’t seen an oil beetle in a while, but that might be because the bees have moved away from my vegetable beds. #solitaryBees

Solitary Leaf Cutter Bees are nearly done filling up the "Binder Boards" with their larvae, pollen, and circular pieces of leaves. The larvae will emerge next Summer. Solitary bees are very efficient pollinators, much more so than Honey Bees. Some of these Leaf Cutter bees are featured in my photographs. #beepics #solitarybees
