I recently read a #rant that installing server apps is too hard, and it shouldn't be like this. When I remember how clunky it was to install #Wordpress to setup my own blog, I fully agree.
But then this: I Installed my #Nextcloud server on a fresh Ubuntu box with LITERALLY one command:
sudo snap install nextcloud
After which I could directly login to my server and start using it (and I still do every day, very heavily). My Nextcloud has been automatically updating itself ever since (though it is still on an older still-supported release). I wish more #selfhosting servers were like this.
Credits go to @nextcloud, @kyrofa, #snapcraftio #snappy, #Ubuntu, and #LetsEncrypt. Thannk you all 😀
