Proponents of #LiquidGlass might do well to remember that the people behind #FlatDesign weren't proven right by time.

Objections weren't just the shock of the new, or unfamiliarity.

Flat Design was objectively worse on any reasonable measure than the previous #Skeuomorphic paradigm, and the only way it was "saved" was by re-introducing skeuomorphs to it.

Liquid Glass is the same; its basic theories, the reasons in "favour" of it are nonsense, and time will not change that.

The reason most #Software these days is shit, is because it's made by people who've only ever used software to do tasks. It's at the end of the human centipede of generational re-dubbing.

If you've never driven a bromide #Camera, and done hot wax layout, you can't make a good #DesktopPublishing app. The people who made those original apps were digitising the *bad* parts of the process for improvement, but leaving the good parts, the parts of the job that were enjoyable, as process-#Skeuomorphic

I managed these four: save, record audio, send email, delete. Took a few minutes extra to fix bugs, adjust background colour, and dump frames for the animation.
