Today would have been Sir Nigel Gresley's 149th birthday. 1. Since last year along with myself and the Gresley Plaque Committee have been organising a Blue Plaque along with the Interpretation Board for Sir Nigel Gresley. I am pleased to announce the plaque is ready and the board will be done shortly. This all began over a year ago with one of my followers on the D&DFHS Facebook page wanted to find out the mystery of Shillington, Avenue Road, off Thorne Road, Doncaster where Sir Nigel gresley and his family once lived. #sirnigelgresley
