SteveI'm at the last shift of the World's Longest Hockey Game Juniors! It's like 7 above but the ice is better than you'd expect. They couldn't have timed this any better for the weather.
Current temp in Sherwood Park, Alberta: -36 according to my cheap weather station I got in a gift exchange this Christmas. Last 24 hour high of -30 and low of -37.
The outdoor sensor is on the side of the front porch so maybe a little bit of heat from the house.
The indoor sensor is in one of the warmest places in the house so I wouldn't put much stock in the 21 indoor reading.

The conservative party today adopted policies that say the gender-affirming care my child received as a minor, with my support and consent, should not have been available to them, and that they pose a threat to biological women in bathrooms.
It is stupid, false, hateful, dangerous nonsense, a form of constitutionally-protected hate speech, against my own child.
And what can I do about that? Nothing at all, except say loudly that they do not speak for me.
