There is a half-hour featurette called "Return of the Dragon" I can't find it on YouTube right now, but I watched it as a special feature from 30th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray

It begins with shots from the movie and sound-bites from interviews with different people who worked on and around the film.
What they say sums up some of the reasons I love the movie so much.

The Last Dragon, and I said "What is that?"
It's a Bruce Leroy film.
It's a Motown martial arts musical.
It is a New York film.
Flipping all the racial stereotypes.
It was capturing a moment in time.
It's a love story.
There's a moral of good over evil.
The message of the movie is all positive.
