Klasse Shinkai-Film (an "Your Name" kommt er aber nicht ganz heran, finde ich, aber trotzdem traumhaft schön.)

For a film not by makoto shinkai, The Tunnel To Summer, The Exit of Goodbyes, was one of the most shinkai films I've seen(*):
camera angles, silly supernatural bullshit, it's really just a love story which fundamentally doesn't really make sense, arguably some foot fetish stuff, teen cringe, and of course the shinkai run...
and by that I mean three shinkai runs

10 Jahre ist es her, seit Makoto Shinkais Meisterwerk „The Garden of Words“ in Japan veröffentlicht wurde. Falls ihn jemand noch nicht gesehen hat: Hierzulande könnt ihr ihn euch bei #LeonineAnime holen!

Saw Makoto Shinkai’s latest animated film, Suzume, this afternoon. I did really enjoy it, though it’s really to early to judge where I’d rank it. The art style was interesting. A little less hyper realistic than some of his other films, though character designs were so very like Your Name. Definitely wears its influences on its sleeve. And just like Garden of Words it has a emotional outburst that overwhelmed me and had me tearing up.
