PeerTube does NOT currently support WHIP natively.

Live streaming on PeerTube is done using RTMP.

📹 RTMP ingest is sent to PeerTube
📹 HLS playback is used for viewing
🛜 Optional P2P WebTorrent distribution to reduce server load

WHIP is a different ingest method designed for WebRTC-based ultra-low-latency streaming, where an encoder sends an SDP offer over HTTP to establish a WebRTC connection.

Would anyone happen to have knowledge on streaming a PipeWire video over RTMP WITHOUT the use of OBS or its contemporaries they would be willing to share?

(P.S. Very explicitly on a Linux system (which is likely self explanatory given that we're talking about PireWire here but I digress))
