A fledgling being protected by an adult which was trying to get it to move to somewhere safer with more cover. At this stage they are extremely vulnerable. We even saw an adult attacking a Grey Squirrel that was getting too close to it.

We were privileged to see this Robin fledging from the nest in the ivy. It was second one to leave the nest. It was not able to fly and basically jumped onto a twig and clung on. It sat there until one of the adults came with some food.
