Hi,
irgendwie ist das alles nicht so "dolle" und kein Ersatz für Foldersync. Das waren einfach gut.
#SMBSync2 für Abdroid10 ist seit 5 Jahren nicht mehr aktualisiert worden und bei #RoundSync für Adroid14 sind es 2 Jahre. Hab ich erst jetzt gesehen.
Aus meiner Sicht ist das alles alter Mist.
Schade.... Ich bin etwas frustriert! 😒

@newhinton Hello Felix, I think your APP can do what #cryptomator fails to deliver since eight years: Store files in Nextcloud and encrypt the files (https://github.com/cryptomator/android/issues/35).

Is #roundsync able to use Nextcloud and en/decrypt the files transparently and provide the data via SAF to all other apps?

It would be great to expose cryptomator API to third party apps, like dropbox does, for example. So that third party apps could read/write files to cryptomator.

Oder direkt @rclone wenn man etwas auf dem #Handy syncen möchte.

Unter #Android kann ich dazu #RoundSync empfehlen:

Somit kann man fast alles als #Backend verwenden und die #Daten auch auf dem Desktop oder #Server #entschlüsseln.

@afreytes @zstg although following the foldersync hashtag link just then, I found this post from @sesivany which recommended #RoundSync on #FDroid - That gives me another one to check out.

I thought she did something wrong, but in fact it was set up correctly, including all permissions. However, nothing was even queued for upload. I couldn't make it working either. I got a recommendation for #FolderSync, but it's freemium and it felt fishy with all the data consent dialogs. Then I went to #FDroid and discovered #RoundSync and wow, it's a great piece of software, clean, lean and does reliably what I want it to do. The sad fact is that @[email protected], app developer, get 3€/month for it on Liberapay. We really need to get more money into open source apps.
