#Running and #RopeSkipping done for today – this week was filled with a lot of satisfying work: We built a new wall in our very large basement room and made two rooms out of it. I can still feel some of that work in every part of my body (and in my bruised left thumb), but it was worth the three days of almost constant work. #coros #apex4

Winter is having a comeback: right now, there’s an awful lot of snow coming down upon us… But, luckily, I was out and #Running before the heavy snowfall started. Timing is everything! After this run, the last part of my current series of audiobooks was through, but, how could it be otherwise, an alternative was just ready and waiting… That‘s what I listened to while doing my #RopeSkipping routine (3,000 jumps). While doing my daily #RopeSkipping routine (~3,000 jumps), I try to keep it at a low effort level. Most days, it works out great – and today was such a day. And I’m a little proud of myself for getting it done every day this week. In early March, I reset the counter in the #FitnessTotals app to count only this calendar year. Having reached 11+ hours is a great achievement for me. I won‘t expand this, though. #Running & #RopeSkipping plus my warmup routine and cycling to work is enough. 😎

And you know what comes after a good run? An even better round of jumping rope! That was fun, but after the 10 K jumps yesterday, I limited myself to 2,500 today. And I cannot emphasize enough how great my Renpho ropeless jumping rope is. Just pure joy! #jumprope #ropeskipping #renpho

These were today’s morning sports activities, still too much ice on the ground when I leave #Aalen behind, so I switched directions and went for an inner city half marathon instead. A little unnerving with some early cars and a lack of knowledge about distance estimates. But I got it worked out – and ROADKILL by Dennis E. Taylor sweetened the ride considerably. It’s been above freezing around my place for two and a half days now, time for the last ice to just vanish. At least, my daily commute is back on solid cycling ground, I love that! #Running #RopeSkipping #applewatchultra3

It really got a lot warmer, but there’s still some ice left… 😩 So I shortened my run today and opted for two #AppleFitnessPlus workouts: one on my #Schwinn spinning bike and one on my rower. And I even took the time to skip some rope. The streets have been cleared by now, so I‘m back on my bike for the daily commute. That‘s almost the best part of it for today! #Running #rowing #cycling #ropeskipping

Heavy snowfall overnight, still snowing, so I took it slow (wouldn’t have been possible otherwise). My new Renpho jumping rope (without an actual rope, so great) took its first workout (my daily goal is 1,000 jumps) flawlessly, I‘m really enjoying this new toy. Before I could run, I had to shovel snow for some 25 minutes, but it was worth doing this, now there’s clearly less danger of slipping. Yay! The run was slow, as expected. But it was also serene and beautiful (from an aesthetic perspective). Nevertheless, I am ready for a snow free time. Together with my wife, I embarked on a new adventure: a Salsa dancing workshop. Last night was our first session, and it was fun. Lots of couples from our usual dancing group had joined in, so we were quite a bunch having the time of our lives. As you might see from the screenshot, I got a new *ropeless* skipping rope from RENPHO. It’s a gorgeous piece of craftsmanship (and rather cheap). Instead of the rope, two weights are attached to the handles. I‘ll post pics later… #dancing #ropeskipping
