@CyrilBrulebois

Peculiarly, it looks like #deb822 is slightly different from #rfc822…deb822 prohibits duplicate headers, while rfc822 allows them (poking at the headers of the currently-selected-message in Mutt, I have a half-dozen Receive: headers on the same message which deb822 would seem to prohibit)

@0xcb: But luckily your website tries to scare me away as a new customer. 😑 Of course the e-mail address I wanted to use in your webshop is long and contains special characters! 🀬

How else should I easily use one e-mail address per account if not separating the company name with a special character from my user name to see where else my shop accounts are diffusing too. 🀌

I strongly recommend that you start using a sign-up form which respects e-mail standards, especially #RFC822 Section 6.

subdomain email is just a catchall address with an extra host part?

Plus addressing and subdomain addressing

Plus addressing and subdomain addressing allow you to give out alternatives to your normal email aliases and still receive messages at your account. You can create a rule to automatically filter me...
