Yesterday I found out that #Sideband the #ReticulumNetwork client in #Fdroid is actually outdated. The current one (from the github repository) looks like, it does not drain my phone's battery so quickly and has audio calls and push to talk messages. The network itself got better after the protocol finally got out of beta.

On #LoRa & #MeshNetworks & #Emergency #SHTF

Thinking about adding Meshtastic (listen-only since it's a security nightmare) and Meshcore to my homelab, but I don't expect to find too many people on it?

Also going to add a few #Rnodes and #ReticulumNetwork to my homelab, who knows what we will find?

Maybe port reticulum network to some more microcontrollers?

I do see a general use-case for #ReticulumNetwork and would like to create some services for it so it's in actual every day use and we don't discover no-one knows how to use it when an emergency happens

First thing that comes to mind is to use it for a secure tty/shell connection back to my homelab while I'm out and about

I'll keep the #HardenedBSD mesh network R&D devices in there. I'm somewhat thinking of pivoting to #ReticulumNetwork rather than using BATMAN for the censorship- and surveillance-resistant mesh network development.
