Off sick and working on my #cyberdeck in between fits of coughing and sneezes.

Just added an #RNode to the build, which means it can use low-range radio (LoRa) to send and receive messages and browse the NomadNet (a sort of alternative internet).

All thanks for #Reticulum.

#ClaudeCode on my laptop machine can, after a couple of pop-ups, see below, #ssh into my #pizero and monkey around with it..... not bad. The pi zero #lora #rnode is connected to the laptop via a hotspot that the pi zero generates to serve #reticulum #meshchat. The laptop is connected to that hotspot via a dedicated wifi dongle TP-Link Archer T3U Plus AC1300 for dual wifi https://amzn.eu/d/04oLHUGr (running nixos but works for any device with browser). #raspberrypizero info https://loramesh.org/subpages/piboxnode/build_pi_box.html
I have an Acer laptop in the loft running a #lora #rnode on #reticulum and #meshchat on #nixos since over 200 days and it still works. So Nixos was stable did not fail for over 200 days. For info about Reticulum etc. one can consult https://loramesh.org
lora radio mesh communication

Why should an #RNode not be able to do that?

And yes, as I meant, end-user #usability due to lack of appropriate #software is not so good yet in #Reticulum, but instead of just writing software for a completely new system, the same energy could have gone into writing end user friendly #Reticulum software (both #firmware for nodes, and software for more capable devices like smartphones, desktop computers, etc.)

When I was out at the shopping mall the other day I notice my RNode going nuts. Some weird interference. What could be causing this? #Reticulum #RNode #DataMesh #LoRa
I’ve managed to tweak the config and compile #reticulum #rnode firmware for the Heltec Wireless Stick Lite v1. It’s not officially supported but it works. If someone is interested, I can upload it to GitHub for public use.
@daan yes, I tried #RNode and #LoRa. But only indoor test for short range. I tested serial and WiFi connection between computer with #RNS and RNode and Bluetooth connection between smartphone and another RNode. All three worked. And yes, with very recent RNS and RNode firmware it is possible to connect LoRa device with computer also over WiFi

Today I tried getting #Reticulum running on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W in my home network. It seems the Zyxel router my ISP gave me is fine for regular use, but doesn't play nice with Reticulum.

Has anyone in the #MeshCore scene (or adjacent) managed to get Reticulum running over #LoRa? I'm looking for encouragement before trying to turn my T-Echo into an #RNode. 😅

I'm trying out #reticulum on #rnode. I like the simplicity, but with all the wonderful documentation, I seem to me missing some stuff. I should just take notes when I read, but I didn't.
So I have some gaps in my understanding and hope that someone might point me in the right direction.

I have two heltec #rnode. On two phones I have #reticulum set up. I can communicate through #lora. It works quite well.

How do I make the rnode connect to my WiFi? Is it the config file on reticulum?
