I just took a look back at Lemmy. Hadn't been there for a couple of years at least. There were a few notifications for me there: snotty comments from a couple of pricks. Maybe it's the whole concept of Reddit-like "communities" that's toxic, not just Reddit itself!

I just checked my abandoned Reddit account. Before I abandoned it, I manually deleted every post I had ever made. As it turns out, the fuckers at Reddit un-deleted it all at some point in the past two weeks.
