Version 2.0 of #AbletonMove and #AbletonNote is less than a week away.
I’m learning that #melodics is addictive, which is a good thing for any app that teaches. But I’m also learning that it too get’s tired and starts to miss marks but a reboot gets it back on track.
Today I found that I have a lot of offline media errors in DR, due to moving my Apple Photos library a while back. Relinking the files has not worked so far.
#davinciresolve #finalcutpro #video (2/2)

So I'm making a video, which really means remaking a video several times 'cause I'm a newbie. I think every time I make a vid I end up in the Final Cut vs. Davinci Resolve recreational rabbit hole tour. One is free, the other is touted to be faster on a mac, both do everything I need and beyond.

Instead of actually getting the video done I try them both, and so far have always ended up back in Resolve. Maybe only until today. (1/2)

After many years of hemming and hawing, finally got a wireless mic setup - the Sennheiser Profile. Have fiddled with it a bit and I'm happy so far. I was hoping it would connect via USB to the Sound Devices Mixpre, but alas no luck. The receiver output works well with the Sony A10, had to crank the gain on the Mixpre. Worked fine using Twisted Wave on my phone. #fieldrecording #wirelessmics
I used to think learning #python was the barrier to getting projects to work. Now I realize it's learning how to manage python packages and environments that is the barrier, at least for me it is. Conda? Virtual? Ughhh.
Another project I’m trying to get running is https://github.com/tcgoetz/GarminDB, also on Github, and it downloads #garmin watch data to a SQLite database. I have a comprehensive set of dashboards (I’m a data junky) based on this sort of data, and I'd love to have it load automatically. Unfortunately, I use #Tableau, and it doesn't talk to SQLite, so I'm trying to get the project to run using #Postgres. Not quite there yet, but making progress. #garmindb
Discovered a project that looks very promising: https://github.com/liketheduck/supernote-ocr-enhancer. It uses Apples ocr tools to improve the text conversion of supernote notes. It does it in a way that is pretty transparent, and while not real time, fast enough to be useful I think. I just need to get it working 8-) #supernote #python
