RCP8.5 Is Officially Dead

And the #Anthropocene will have accomplished that such ice ages will be skipped. Completely skipped. In the fantasy #RCP8.5 , where supply chains for fossil fuels simply continue to work, regardless of civilisation collapse from the societal impacts of #ClimateChange and #BioDiversity loss,
the next full blown ice age would be in 1 million years from now. That's 9 "normal" glacial cycles skipped!

The lowest emission scenarios skips one 100thousand-year #glacial cycle.
The sixth #MassExtinction is already underway, regardless of emission scenarios.

And that's not "the sheer magnitude people are looking for"? Ridiculous. Maybe, the majority of these geologists who voted "no" is paid by #Exxon 🤔
