I just finished "Raw Dog: The Naked Truth About Hot Dogs" by @jamieloftushelp . I've been reading it slowly, off and on over the past couple months, over the course of which: I got fired for the first time in my life; My covid-era relationship ended in a way that devastated me more than I could have predicted; a dear friend and member of my housing collective has been gone for months supporting their family while their mother underwent and recovers from a lung transplant; I just got fired for the second time in my life. All the while living in a world that is rabidly trying to insist everything is fine and we should all just keep going to work and not worry too much about... anything. Don’t forget to vote!
