In fact, the video published by Reuters on Feb 3 & subsequently verified by the new agency's #FactCheck team, showed #humanitarian workers lifting body bags in #Congo’s city of #Goma. The image was pulled from Reuters footage shot following deadly battles w/ #Rwanda-backed #M23 rebels.

It’s unclear where #Trump got the video from, or who, if anyone, characterized to him what the video showed. #ElonMusk — who is originally from #SouthAfrica & is one of Trump’s *advisers* — had posted the video on the social media site X at least twice before today’s meeting.

In Wed’s meeting, when President #Ramaphosa asked where the video was from, Trump said, “I mean, it’s in South Africa.”
