Love the floral display on these steps leading up to a Victorian tenement building on Queen's Drive on the Southside of Glasgow. The central door leads to the communal stairwell leading to the flats on the upper storeys, while the ones on either side are individual entrances to the two ground floor flats.

A French Renaissance style tenement overlooking Queen's Park on the Southside of Glasgow. Designed by W.M. Whyte, it was built in 1885. I particularly like the roofline of this section.

Sculpted corbels on a bay window of a French Renaissance style tenement on Queen's Drive in Glasgow. These figures are of Hugh Wilson (on the left) who built it, and William Whyte (on the right), who designed it. This habit of architects and/or builders featuring themselves on the buildings they create is known as self-insertion, and it's not as unusual as you might think.

I love these bay windows, especialy the curved glass. They're on the 1885 French Renaissaice style tenements on Queen's Drive in Glasgow designed by William White. The two sculpted figures between ground and first floors are thought to be of White himself and the builder Hugh Wilson.

The entrances to three of the French Renaissance style Queen's Drive tenements on the southside of Glasgow designed by W.M. Whyte and built in 1885. The small statues around the doors are thought to represent different crafts.

Alexander 'Greek' Thomson Street Lamp standard on Queen's Drive on the south side of Glasgow. I love the details on the metalwork on this. Very typically 'Greek' Thomson. I wonder how many people walk past this each day without even realising what it is?

Sculptures around the doors to 114-118 Queen's Drive in Glasgow. Representing the Arts, they are usually taken as being Music, Painting (middle two) and Literature. However, I think the second one may be Dance rather than Painting.
