#Web sites generating money from #advertising are like:

"Please understand us, we need money to survive, so we will sell access to your computer to X"

where X can be:
- literally anyone
- shady businesses
- personal data collectors
- organizations with a similar audience
- individually vetted entities

#ads don't have to be evil, but in my experience the louder they shout, the worse deal they want to push on the readers.

Shame that #projectwonderful is dead.
