Productivity Commission recommends waiting three years to establish review into technology after furious response from creative industries

The Guardian

Productivity is not something we should aim for in the care sector. The focus needs to be on quality and effective person-centred care. All productivity gets you is crap care and crap working conditions.

We should be very concerned by a government that only sees things through the lens of productivity. They are dismantling the NDIS by stealth.

Instead of ‘winners and losers’, why not build an economy that’s good for all Australians?

When it comes to policy decisions, too many are too quick to focus on what’s in it for them, instead of what is best for society as a whole

Is it me our is the head of the Productivity Commission biased. Blaming the lack of property development on environment laws and yet here we are. #productivitycommission #environment #property

Can AI deliver economic nirvana? Only if workers can monitor and shape how it’s used

It is only when technology augments human capability that genuine productivity is achieved

I think the PC is full of wallies when they talk about #ai but I do think they are right about this. Lesson plans are a b$tch and why they haven’t been streamlined when every student who does a diped has to write 100s of them is beyond me.

Productivity Commission thinks we would as a country be more productive by letting an arbitrary bug riddled tool take over jobs because…checks notes…it will increase productivity.

I’m laughing because for a period….I think short…this ridiculous concept will replace real thought and eyes until it breaks everything and there will be mass hiring to fix it. Just imagine if this year was Y2K….we would be screwed. #productivitycommission
