Ein technisches Problem bei der Absenderprüfung auf unserem Mailserver (mailcow) hatte den Versand blockiert. Konkret wurden Adressen mit Plus-Addressing (wie [email protected]) abgelehnt, da der Server den Suffix nicht als Alias akzeptiert hat. Das ist nun korrigiert! 🛠️

Okay, this is weird: when creating accounts online that require an #email address I always (well, when they allow it) use #plusaddressing and tag it with the name of the site. That way if I get #spam to that address I know who leaked/sold my details.

But today I got spam with a plus-address that I’ve never heard of, and isn’t in my password safe. Are spammers using plus-addressing for some reason?

I hate booking forms (and others, but specifically bookings) that don't accept subaddressing (plus-addressing) in email addresses and insist on "you must enter a valid email address". You stupid brain dead web developers! Read and understand that damn RFC 5233!
