<<< hoping to claim the reward (being offered by the millionaire businessman).
4️⃣ It's a razor sharp script, with some vicious observations. There's no sentimentality whatsoever. Even the family of the missing child take a hit.
5️⃣ There are terrific performances from #PeterMarkRichman, #AntoinetteBower and #CarlaBorelli. #TonyFranciosa is excellent as always. #SusanSaintJames doesn't get enough to do.
3️⃣ And there's a lovely Santana-CC scene, which shows a more compassionate side to the patriarch. I'd forgotten that #PeterMarkRichman was so good in this show.
4️⃣ The highlight here is a short scene where Kelly helps Joe escape from the mansion, after breaking in.
5️⃣ The cliffhanger is weak. Dominic pulls a gun on Joe. Again.
#SantaBarbara 012 (1984) - 6/10
1️⃣ There’s not much to this episode. No developments, nothing changes. It’s more character-driven than plot-driven. Character conflict rules the day. Arguments, basically. CC & Mason. Again. John & Marisa. Again. Kelly & Peter. Again. Everybody saying stuff we’ve heard before. Probably a good episode for new viewers.
2️⃣ #PeterMarkRichman and #LaneDavies are good together. I like Richman’s CC more on this rewatch than I did on first viewing.
#SantaBarbara 011 (1984) - 9/10
Monday, August 13, 1984.
1️⃣ First appearance of #AMartinez as #CruzCastillo. According to #IMDb, he appeared in more episodes than anybody else. Episode 2050 being his last, on Sept 11th 1992.
2️⃣ It’s a great debut, with Cruz valiantly fighting an oil rig fire. The action scenes work well because they are kept short.
3️⃣ #PeterMarkRichman is really in his element here, as CC. He’s intense.
#MissionImpossible 110 - 10/10
1️⃣ Paris (#LeonardNimoy) is brainwashed by an enemy scientist (#PeterMarkRichman) and programmed to kill Jim (#PeterGraves)! Will the team (#SamElliott, #GregMorris, #LesleyAnnWarren) figure out what’s happened?
2️⃣ Damn, this is exciting. It’s another s5 story that completely breaks from formula. In ways, it’s almost the inverse of a typical mission/episode. Paris and Jim are staying at a remote hotel, while enemy agents work against them and manipulate events.
#Vegas s1e10 (1978) - 7/10
1️⃣ Most of the early episodes were bad, and kinda soured me on the series. But it seems to have turned a corner and this one is another one that’s pretty decent.
2️⃣ #BurtonArmus provides a script that starts mid-case with Tanna following suspicious businessman #PeterMarkRichman (#SantaBarbara) without really knowing why. Turns out this guy works for a white slaver! Before long, Tanna is their prisoner!
