My last make of 2022!
I finished my #owligan last week, but it took me forever to settle on the right buttons for the eyes! The last photo shows the original ones I used from my grandmother's button jar, but I really didn't care for the way the looked. I wanted the eyes to be waaaaay more subtle than that. So I made my own polymer clay buttons for the eyes, and I'm much happier. This is such a heavy warm sweater. I'll be cozy all winter πŸ’™

Not sold on these button eyes πŸ€”

I am thinking maybe I'll make custom buttons and give them dark eyes instead. Or maybe just leave the eyes off altogether.

What do you think?

I finished knitting my #owligan πŸ¦‰

I'm going to make the functional buttons myself from polymer clay, but I'm raiding my grandmother's button jar to find 13 pairs of perfect little owl eyes 🧿🧿

I'll do a proper show-and-tell when I've had a chance to get it all buttoned up πŸ˜ƒ

With the latest influx of newbies, I thought it was time for a new #introduction

Hi πŸ‘‹πŸ»

I write #documentation by day, and enjoy #knitting #crochet #polymerclay and #photography in my off hours.

I'm currently in the middle of knitting a super bulky #owligan cardigan, but I don't have any pictures of that just yet, so here are some examples of the polymer clay work I do.

P.S. You can see more clay things (and buy some if you like) on my website: https://lisaclarke.net
