My last make of 2022!
I finished my #owligan last week, but it took me forever to settle on the right buttons for the eyes! The last photo shows the original ones I used from my grandmother's button jar, but I really didn't care for the way the looked. I wanted the eyes to be waaaaay more subtle than that. So I made my own polymer clay buttons for the eyes, and I'm much happier. This is such a heavy warm sweater. I'll be cozy all winter πŸ’™

@lclarke522 That's beautiful work! I love the colour.
@lclarke522 That's such a gorgeous shade of blue!
@lclarke522 @knitting Beautiful, creative, subtle, and functional! Wow!
@lclarke522 @knitting That looks so warm and wonderfully crafted! I love the colour and the new buttons you added are a much better fit. Absolutely stunning!
@lclarke522
Definitely good choice on the buttons and OMG I want to curl up in that!
@lclarke522 @knitting The polymer buttons are perfect! Good choice! Well done! It’s a beautiful sweater!
@lclarke522 @knitting oh my goodness. This is amazing. And you made BUTTONS. Lisa, that is sheer genius.
@juneg @knitting I make buttons for nearly all of my cardigans - I'm too picky to just buy them 😁
@lclarke522 @knitting And you can customize the color.
@juneg @knitting that's exactly it. I make colorful, brightly patterned buttons to sell, but for my personal projects, I'm all about solid color buttons that match the yarn and don't stand out at all 😁
@lclarke522 I love how chunky this looks but still having enough detail for the owls!
@lclarke522 I’ve never seen knitting used so creatively, and artistically to make such a functional, fashionable piece! It’s wonderful!
