Orion Browser, runs on Webkit, and can use Chrome,. Firefox, AND Safari extensions.

It's still in early beta, and is not suggested as a daily driver yet, but it looks promising. Kagi, (the paid search engine) is putting in some serious effort, if only it were open source.

A new browser option for Linux users. Though, it has many rough edges.

Not a Firefox Fork! Kagi's Orion Browser Arrives on Linux as a Public Beta

The Flatpak-only build brings basic browsing but extensions and Kagi Sync aren't ready yet.

It's FOSS
Okay, tried @kagihq #orionbrowser on my work Mac. So far quite nice. All needed Firefox Extensions are working. Waiting for the Linux Version to leave early Beta🤞

The 1.0 launch of #OrionBrowser feels like a good thing for the web. I've been playing with it for a while & it's got a lot of potential. Can't wait for them to churn out the promised Linux version: https://blog.kagi.com/orion

After six years of relentless development, *Orion for MacOS 1.0 is here*.

I had to dump the #OrionBrowser , it really started chewing up the battery and my phone got hot. Sad.
Really makes we want to stick with #Safari . #Orionbrowser is really well integrated into macOS and I wanted (need to) find a browser with good vertical tabs to not get lost all the time. Sadly I don't think Safari has a good solution here (tab groups don't feel like they were meant to be used like this?) and plugins don't have access to tabs I think ...
I wasn't thinking about this too much during the last few years, but ever since I was having a look at @kagihq 's #OrionBrowser I started to realize how truely amazing @mipstian 's #Wipr is. Give it a go if you are on Safari and you don't like ads or pop-ups. It just works out of the box! I have yet to find (chrome based) plugins that have the same effect for me on Orion. I assume uBlock would get me ~90% there, but it didn't take long for me to run into issues with a website during testing.
