At the scale of Uber, there's real need for optimizing storage engine. Something that we can't do well with postgres. We are getting much better at it with #orioledb, but not as swapable as mysql. 😅

I found out about #orioledb today and now I want to add to my #postgres. 😅

Reading about it is getting me excited. Replication across the cluster seems more sane than normal replication. Same with the copy on write for WAL.

I'll have to test to see how real the performance gains are on using it. 😎
