https://www.die-deutsche-buehne.de/hefte/themenheft-daten-theater/

Schauen wir mal, ob und wenn ja wie es mit dem Thema zukünftig weitergehen wird.

Sutures are out and wrist is feeling loads better already.

First physio appointment went really well, got a bunch of exercises coming my way and a lot of hard work, but prognosis is most definitely positive and the physio said from the results today, it was definitely the right decision to take out the plate.

Hurrah!

Onwards and upwards!

6 months after #ORIF surgery for my badly broken radius and ulnar, I'm back under the bar managing loaded barbell squats and couldn't be happier!

We tried to get back to squats about 2 months ago with the Smith Machine for safety, but I didn't have enough wrist extension to maintain proper form at that time.

It takes a lot of work to come back from such a severe fracture but little by little things are improving! 🚀🚀🚀

Focusing mostly on strengthening for running at the moment.

Hurrah, today I'm discharged from the surgeon at the hospital! Still a lot of bone growth to happen but I have decent movement for this stage of recovery after such a serious fracture and surgery, so he doesn't need to see me any more! 🎉🎉🎉

Just got to get the physio referral sorted (yay for cross border NHS red tape!) and keep on keeping on!

I've finally been able to type with two hands this week on a tiny logikeys keyboard which is a huge help, but still quite hard work! #ORIF

Realised I didn't do an update on the broken wrist!

Ended up having surgery on the 10th September, open reduction internal fixation or #ORIF, to plate the radius back together and hold the ulnar in place with two wires, which were removed four weeks later.

Was in a backslab plaster for two weeks but then went into a hard cast (the pink one in the photo) for the next two weeks as the backslab was causing painful movement of the wires. This also became too loose in the end!

Badly broke my arm and torn a ligament in my ankle causing the fall, right in the middle of our holiday on Friday - totally sober!

Had surgery today to pin and plate everything back together. Thankfully I'm on a really lovely ward with kind and endlessly compassionate staff and the vegan food is even really tasty. So that's a win, I guess! Got a few more days under observation probably before I can go home but no driving for at least 6 weeks etc. Boo.
