#orDems who want to kill you with cars #AV bill in #Oregon preempts local laws and rules #Portland

And who is running in the governor primary? If it's blue no matter whoooo, give us better options.

Reminder that both the #Oregon #Transportation commission *and* the #Portland #transit agency board are appointed by #orDems Governor who is running unopposed in the primary.

Have #orDems got someone in the primary to replace this useless corporate prop of a governor or are they just going to lose the seat. Dems can't win by shredding stuff that works to make tax cuts for the rich. GTFO

Cutting property taxes for Oregonians affected by wildfires. Canceling planned freeway tolls. Pausing local new taxes in the Portland area. We have to keep going to make life more affordable for Oregonians.

@brenttoderian.bsky.social The problem with countering the argument about "subsidizing bike lanes" is that #transportation departments keep claiming they can't build bike infrastructure without more money, when all they need to do is cut car infrastructure spending to the level that drivers actually fund, and prioritize safety first (#orDems get out of your cars before the gov loses her seat over ODOT's stupidity challenge.)

VARNEY: You canceled almost $8b of energy projects, most of them in blue states. Are you punishing the blue states? CHRIS WRIGHT: We are punishing the wasteful spending of taxpayer dollars ... do you want to subsidize E-bike lanes lanes in Portlandia? (That's not a no!)

Well #orDems have "kept the lights on" at ODOT, at the expense of basically everyone else or the governor winning re-election. From The Street Trust: โ€œDonโ€™t call it a package - this deal kicks the #transportation funding can down the road while leaving the most vulnerable Oregonians behind.โ€ #orPol #climateDenial #FuckCars #WithDemsLikeThese #Portland
@carraway there was a bill to legalize it for younger (all?) ages but somehow we only got the 3 classes and maybe extra helmet laws or something to mandate the number and width of car lanes or minimum number of hours spent in traffic congestion on the way to school, plus whatever stupid car shit they voted for this time, #WithDemsLikeThese ๐Ÿซ  #orDems

#orDems handling of their own Billionaire Benefits Bill on #transportation makes federal dems seem competent by comparison. Gamba is one of the good ones but trying to raise revenue to prop up the carway system is a lost cause. We need to quit imagining car overuse is free, car users should get *only* what they pay for, not more maintenance debt on our children. They don't even know they'll fall into the river while sitting in #Portland traffic on the marquam bridge

#Transportation Package is Scheduled for Release Monday, #orDems maybe not scheduled to lose the governor's race next year. #VisionZero #pdxBikes #CongestionPricing #transit #TriMet #Portland ๐Ÿคž#ClimateAction

With dems like these... #ORpol #orDems #CarBrain #CarSupremacy

Car use costs more per mile than drivers pay. The plan is to gradually make drivers pay more, but drivers still won't be paying full price even then. ๐Ÿ™ƒ No plans to stop the bleeding. And of course #ClimateDenial

Democrats push sales tax on cars in bid to raise more flexible transportation funds
