A plantation that never mentioned slavery in its marketing to bridezillas with the lack of soul it would take to dance on the graves of the slaves that built the building. Seriously, having your event at #Nottoway White Castle is literally holding a ceremony under trees where men, women and children were lynched.

weird af seeing people defending that plantation like i of all people get appreciating neat historical architecture and how many people were employed there who aren't as of today but given who built that architecture and how many people worked there without employ like….. the numbers kinda win here bros
if my family was forced to build a castle for some rich bastards and abused in the worst ways possible to keep that castle running for hundreds of years and then when they were no longer stuck there the owners kept making millions off that legacy of abuse and forced labour and in such a disrespectful way, celebrating that legacy, i'd very much feel entitled to do the same.
