For all the stories about the Junior Doctors Strike hitting patients I'm reliably informed that a more pernicious problem is the lack of nursing staff.

A lack of nursing staff has nothing to do with the Junior Doctors Strike.

What would happen if the junior doctors and consultants went on an indefinite strike, until the government enter into meaningful discussions? The same with ASLEF and the RMT - why not go on an all-out indefinite strike? These disputes need to be resolved, and it seems to me the corrupt, incompetent morally bankrupt Tories are not going to respond to anything less.

Reflecting on how things are different in the UK and Australia over the last few days. Particularly in light of this decision that proved widespread wage theft by public hospitals.
I can't imagine the UK doctors taking legal action. I can barely believe they are taking industrial action after decades of abuse by the system.
