La idea parecía simple, pero cambió la civilización digital: nació la World Wide Web.

La anécdota es legendaria: el primer servidor web fue una computadora NeXT en su oficina del CERN. Para evitar que alguien la apagara por accidente, tenía una nota escrita a mano: “𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒂 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒆𝒓. 𝑫𝑶 𝑵𝑶𝑻 𝑷𝑶𝑾𝑬𝑹 𝑰𝑻 𝑫𝑶𝑾𝑵!!”

Con ese equipo NeXT, 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬-𝐋𝐞𝐞 desarrolló el primer navegador/editor, el primer servidor web y las bases técnicas de la Web: HTML, HTTP y URL

Now that shipping 3D printed things within the EU is absolutely unprofitable (and unaffordable) in the long term, I'm thinking about selling the 3D models for self-printing. This is also a risk for me, as I practically give up the source of all my work.

The Ultimate Marketing Machine

I found this relic while going through a clothes bin. This was given to me by someone in NYC NeXT sales, pre-NeXTstep 1.0. Not sure if BMW was actually a customer (although most big companies had at least one) but I expect that it was more to associate NeXT computers with brands that Steve respected.

Attached: 4 images The very first test prints of three parts of my #NeXT #MegaPixel display. And oh boy… the middle part (that one with the ribs) is a nightmare for #FDM printing! Horrible post processing getting rid of the support material! This is wh. y I'm thinking of buying a resin printer. The customers will appreciate it too. @Steve12L Ah! reading this made me look for news about Avie Tevanian... I found a quite interesting and recent interview (2018) https://apple.fandom.com/wiki/Avie_Tevanian#Career
At CMU, he co-wrote the Mach microkernel before getting hired at NeXT, and GNU Hurd is based on Mach.
