conservatives and right wing are making it easy for themselves. their ideological framework allows them to believe in the past and therefore think they are allowed to destroy all signs of progress and ideas (and people) associated with liberals.

And maybe it's ok.

Because even liberals are still only being liberal because they like to stand on the so called right side of history (no pun intended).

I believe it's the ideological divide itself that permits trump to do what he and his government are doing right now.

If liberals are interested in ending this situation the need to go ahead beyond ideology.

Stop the blame game

look at the needs of people

right and left

ensure that the state is strong and accountable.

Church and state need to be separated

and nowadays

ideological groupthink and politics also need to be separated

what matters is solutions that focus on humans not ideas.

That has to be the new liberal.

It won't work fast

but that's the ground we need to stand on.

No alienation

it's a tough road ahead.
