Attached: 1 image The first outcrop is very close to the Devil's Hole "fish prison". This is an open patch of water in a deep fissure in the desert. A small population of unique pupfish lives here, and only here. The cyclone fencing, barbed wire, and other security measures are to protect the fish from people. The fish live in their little tiny world, not knowing the human forces in balance that try to protect and destroy them. Kinda depressing, but the rock outcrop is close... #AshMeadows #DeathValley

Are there any fish experts out there? I've been a fish keeper for fifty years but am not an expert. The fish I carefully observed for a good thirty seconds in a local water hole/creek was similar to this, only bigger, I'd say 25cm to 30cm plus. Maybe a Blue Mountains Perch?

A new study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences finds that large-scale fish releases negatively impact ecosystems as a whole, while offering little benefit and some harm to the species they seek to support.
I figured I've posted plenty o' fish on this here profile so far, but not dang near enough of them fish's marvelous homesteads! Here's a few pictures of some of my favorite summer spots to sling dries, swing streamers, an' stumble over boulders.
Keep 'em in the water, handle 'em with wet hands, release 'em fast, an' watch that backcast!
