Last week we were too worried about saving Asha from capture to post about this, but it's a serious "Huh?" for the Albuquerque Journal on this one. No one recommended #MexicanWolves roam our cities en masse. Is this supposed to be satire?
“We hope that Asha’s movements have spoken to policymakers about how arbitrary the boundary is,” she said, “Just simply managing numbers within the small geography of Arizona and New Mexico is not enough.”
Asha's movements have spoke alright, but is there any chance that policymakers will listen?
Because there's no higher calling, amirite ladies?

Here's something we hadn't heard yet about #AshaTheWolf:
>> Asha is a spitfire who does what she needs to get done... [FWS spokesperson] said that while [Asha was] at the refuge, they had to move the security cameras higher up, “otherwise she would jump and take them down.” <<
You go girl. #MexicanWolves #LetAshaRoam

Lobos are culturally and environmentally significant to New Mexico and a Mexican gray wolf that wildlife experts say is resilient in face of peril and breaks assumptions, something many New Mexicans can relate too, is back after a long trip

"I love the lands of my home state deeply, and I long for the day when we can manage those lands for more than just the interests of human populations."
This is a great rebuttal to the recent fear-mongering anti-science op-ed about #AshaTheWolf.
