And I appreciate the existential argument for #naivety and #idealism here. I choose #optimism and #hope because I choose to believe in a #Buddhist worldview and cosmology that gives me agency in the pursuit of genuine happiness and service. And I get tired of cringing at my own earnestness and enthusiasm about the future when despair is so popular, but this post helped me to leaven my concerns around that a bit, thanks @JankaWessman 🙏🦋

As is well known, #greed turns off the last spark of common sense in many people and turns on unscrupulousness in others. The latter then have an easy time of it with the former to take money out of their pockets. Nothing new.

What is shocking, however, is that it is developing contrary to all expectations and is getting worse and worse. Despite more knowledge available, people are choosing to ignore it. With #AI and the technical possibilities, everything will reach new dimensions.

But there is no cure for #stupidity. At least I don't run out of topics for the blog.
