Fair play to Duke for spending an hour speaking there. He needs to do that more often, and in season.

And it was a nice touch to give Jay and his family a shout-out.

I like the fact that he understands that there's a lot of disillusionment within the fanbase, and he understands where most of the problems occurred last season. I like the fact that he's angry and pissed off, too.

BUT... 🧵

Duke Tobin said the scouting department size is what it is because they like the collaboration the #Bengals have. "It's not about the volume." If they made a bad decision, it was not because they didn't have the information they needed.
Asked why fans should believe in him, #Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin said: "I understand they probably don't right now. All I can do is work us out of it. We've done it before."
Duke Tobin said this season was frustrating, disappointing and not good enough for the #Bengals “but more importantly, it was all those things for our fans. We feel that. That weighs on us.”
