I'm trying to get my PCSK9 inhibitor here prior to my trip to Canada. I put in the order today, then I go take a nap, and I get a call while I'm napping. (Great timing there, but they get a pass.)
I knew what it was. My old credit card expired. I got a new card. I need to update the information.
* I try going to MyChart. There is NO PLACE TO CHANGE IT THERE!!!! I swear I searched in the search field. I clicked here and there. If there is a place to change it there, they've hidden it well. I don't care how you cut it. This is not good design. This is where we should be able to do it, but "haha! screw you, patient!"
* I call. Someone answers. I tell them what I want. They ask for my name and the call gets dropped.
* I call again. Someone answers. I tell them what I want. I'm put on hold because they have to go into the basement behind the door that says "beware of the tiger." Then she's back, but now she cannot bloody hear me.
She says there's phone lag. She puts me on hold again. Then she comes back, and she can FINALLY take my credit card information.
Thank you, Johns Hopkins, for making this a "painless" procedure. Thank you for forcing me to make a phone call. Thank you for making a mess of my phone calls.
World-class medicine! Yep, they saved my life, but good grief!
