#Google continues the trend of adding new #Gemini-related #privacy-invasive bullshit to their phones at every opportunity.
Their newest "innovation" is that I can no longer send a a text by voice unless I agree to connect Gemini to Google Home. I don't have any smart home devices, and if I did I wouldn't want Google connected to them, and yet still, I must agree to this to be able to send a text by voice, something that has nothing to do with smart home devices. Someone please explain to my why the search box at the top of the page in _Confluence_ is inviting me to search _SharePoint_.

I receive via email an invitation to an event. I attempt to accept the invitation and import it into my #Google calendar in #Thunderbird. I get two error pop-ups, one on top of the other:
#Mozilla #GNOME #GNOMECalendar #Bugzilla #GoogleCalendar (1/5)
This is what happens in the #1Password web app when I click the "Manage access" button while viewing the contents of a vault. Specifically, it pops up an incompletely rendered modal which is supposed to be the access management modal, and it stays there, incompletely rendered, forever. Sweet.

#Mimecast is an information security company specializing in #email security, and yet they apparently think it's acceptable to send a bounce message which not only does not contain the original message, it doesn't contain the message ID, timestamp, subject line, or any other information about the original message other than its recipient.

For the record, the reason why this page was not working for me is because I had ad blocking turned on for it, which is the default in Vivaldi, my browser.
That's right, a page #Google created whose explicit purpose is to give users more control over their privacy doesn't load if you visit the page with an ad blocker.

You get an email from #Microsoft365 with the subject "Microsoft 365 security: You have messages in quarantine". Below one of the listed quarantined emails listed there's a button: "Block Sender".
You click the button. It brings up a page. You click the button on the page to confirm blocking the sender. It confirms that the sender was blocked.
A day later, you get another quarantine email from #M365 listing another message from the same sender. (1/2)

Nowadays I resort to using Microsoft Copilot web chat as a glorified search engine when I can't find the answer to a question using a real search engine, both because all of the search engines suck (some of them on purpose to make you view more ads) and because the search engines are polluted with slop. I'm using #MicrosoftPlanner at work to organize my team's work, because the team is small enough and its organizational strategy informal enough that it is (or should be) sufficient, and because we get the basic version for free as part of our company #Microsoft365 subscription.
#Planner has always been kind of a dumpster fire, but they've recently taken it to a new level.
