At the St. Nikolaus #monastry there is also a #Lourdes - Grotto. 100 years ago the Lourdes Grotto was built as a sign of gratitude. Soldiers who took up quarters in the monastery, with the help of the Fathers, built the rock cave out of great gratitude that they were still alive. At that time, the statue of the Virgin Mary came from Mönchengladbach. In 2013, on the occasion of the centenary, it was replaced by a new statue from Lourdes.
Now, in times of the pandemic, services are held on the lawn. Hopefully it won't rain around Easter ;-)
