We can and should build more ultra-light, low-speed, short-range #EVs.

My ideal #microEV would be weatherproof/climate-controlled, carry two 100 kg adults with two sets of carry-on luggage (100 kg total, or two small children, or briefcases+groceries, or two guitars+amps), with a 30-45kph top speed and a 60-100km Winter range.

Such a vehicle would not need a gigantic, heavy battery, heavy crash-proofing, or heavy-duty construction and components that can withstand high road speed stresses.
