Hitting a double achievement on the #MBTA today -- traveling backwards (train reversing with passengers on board) while in the lowest numbered car in active service (not the oldest ... The Internet says that's 1616). Supposedly something is under the wheels of a train at Charles ( @universalhub )

I meandered to the station because I didn't need to catch that train, I needed to catch the next one, so why hurry?

Only to see that the train I barely missed was one of the new #MBTARedLine trains! Curses!

For those looking for an #MBTARedLine Update --

I had timed all of the stations from Park to Harvard, but it took so long that my Mastodon tab refreshed, killing everything I wrote. Part of that was the five minute / station wait due to the signal issues. However,

Park -- MGH: Still crawling, still lurching up the hill
MGH -- Kendall: Still crawling over the Charles
Kenny -- Central: Pretty nice, actually
Central -- Harvard: 3:29. Actually moves now, which is nice.
