Maybe there's some merit to not being able to see the number of boosts and favorites. I started to see it as not really an hindrance or a feature as I take as granted and if it's not there it's a thing I miss so much that I can't be able to use a client that doesn't have it.
I can see not having this feature I taken as a given isn't too much of a big deal to not have it, and it have some advantage not having it. 😄

What's the best Mastodon client for news discovery? The official Android app has this tab, which works pretty well. But do any other Android clients do a better job?

I stumbled on the Moshidon @moshidon android app for Mastodon on F-Droid and so far I think it is my favorite android client I've used so far. It's a fork of @megalodon that adds Material You.
Hadn't seen it mentioned in any lists of recommended android client so thought I'd share.

I decided to try Megalodon again and I must say, it's pretty cool... In fact, after a second look, it works better than twidere while keeping the feature I love the most, which is updating the timeline without moving from the post I was reading. I think I'll stay with it for a little longer than I thought.
