I started using Mastodon with #Tusky app. Then moved to #pachli as an improved fork of the former.

Both lack grouping of like/boost notifications.

So I tried #moshidon. Now #fedilab.

None of them has it.

#Phanpy.social has it but that's webapp so integrates less with rest of Android.

At least both Moshidon and Fedilab split notifications into two parts so mentions are easier to find.

So, I hit some key combo that caused #Phanpy to censor all content, text and images. Couldn't easily figure out how to fix it, but clearing phanpy.social cookies did it.

What did I do?

#Phanpy now supports (in dev version currently) adding own profile as column/tab/floating button  This means, I can now replicate Mastodon Android/Moshidon's UI, by adding Search, Notifications and Profile tabs. But the only thing missing, is holding profile tab to switch account. It's possible to do with menu button at the top left corner, but sometimes it's hard to reach this button with one finger.

It's also possible to post as other account in Moshidon by holding floating Compose button, but Phanpy has something interesting to offer: quickly reply to your recent thread. Just discovered this feature.

When you create a hashtag column in Phanpy, it seems like it searches the posts by hashtag in alphabetical order, rather than chronologically.

Let's say I create a column with tags A, B, C. I get a bunch of posts tagged with A, a few tagged with B and never C.

If I search for C, I find recent posts but they don't show up in the column.

I think we've finally reached the point where the default Mastodon web app is better than all the alternative web apps, at least on desktop;

* Pinafore is abandoned, various forks got more development, but Enafore.social isn't working reliably for me in LibreWolf

* Elk.zone is still alpha, and does annoying things like the popup when I copy text, and not letting me move @mentions

* Phanpy.social prevents me navigating the full thread while replying
